Questions we are asked
Short answers on the platform, Sienna and security
Product
- What is Vega?
- Vega is the AI-native operating system for investor relations in private markets. VegaOS brings the fund lifecycle, the firm's knowledge and its connected systems into one workspace, with Sienna, an AI agent, built in.
- Who is Vega for?
- Asset managers across private equity, credit, real estate and infrastructure: their investor relations, operations and investor services teams. Investors work with them through Vega too.
- Do we have to take every module?
- No. Modules are sold separately. Take the ones that match your lifecycle and add others when you need them; the workspace around them never changes.
Sienna
- What is Sienna?
- Sienna is the AI agent built into VegaOS: the colleague at the next desk. Ask her about any fund or investor, hand her a workflow, or save one as a skill and run it again.
- Why "Sienna"?
- She is named after Sienna, the golden retriever who belongs to Alexis, Vega's founder. You can meet the original at the foot of the Sienna page.
- Can Sienna change things on her own?
- No. Reads run directly. Every write becomes a proposal you approve, edit or reject, and nothing runs until a person approves it. The gate is enforced in code.
- How do we know where an answer came from?
- DDQ answers carry their provenance, and a person signs them off before they go out. Spaces are built on the firm's real data; nothing on the page is invented.
Security
- Do you train AI models on our data?
- No. We do not use customer data to train models.
- Is Vega SOC 2 compliant?
- Yes. Vega is SOC 2 Type II compliant, covering all five trust service categories.
- Is our data encrypted?
- Yes. Customer data is encrypted at rest and in transit over TLS 1.3, with keys held in a separate managed key service. Sensitive fields can be encrypted individually, in addition to encryption at rest.
- Where is our data stored?
- Residency is available in different jurisdictions, depending on customer requirements. We agree the location with you.
Integrations
- Which systems does Vega connect to?
- VegaOS reads from and works in the systems you already run, including Microsoft 365, Salesforce, DealCloud and Attio, with a custom connector builder for the rest.
- Can our people use Vega from their AI assistant?
- Yes. Vega's MCP connectors, Vega LP and Vega GP, work in claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code. Each signs in with OAuth 2.1 and sees exactly what the user is permitted to see.
Getting started
- How do we get started?
- Book a demo. We arrange a working session around your own workflows, with the people building the platform.
